The Ciù Ciù company was founded by the Bartolomei family. Located a few kilometers from Offida (AP), a medieval town full of tradition and deep food and wine culture, the company was born in the heart of the Piceno hills. In the production area of Rosso Piceno Superiore, it covers more than 150 hectares of vineyards.

History

The roots of the Ciù Ciù Company began in 1970, when the married couple Bartolomei founded the family business. The microclimate and particularly favorable climatic conditions have allowed us to give life to the excellence of the territory. However, the well-known vines such as Sangiovese, Merlot, Barbera, Montepulciano, Pinot and Chardonnay are not lacking. The Ciù Ciù Company is located in the heart of the Piceno hills, in the prestigious production area of ​​Rosso Piceno Superiore.

Ciù Ciù has a strictly family management. Within the structures, however, operates a technical group, engaged in the search for the restoration of traditional techniques and the wine and winemaking heritage of the Marche region. This particular attention and scrupulousness contribute in essential terms to give the company the highest levels of quality to face the national and international market.

Wines and production

The red wines of organic production, are the maximum expression of the products born from the hill area that from Ascoli Piceno, descends towards the Adriatic Sea. These wines are given the tannin aroma typical of prestigious vines, such as Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Merlot, Barbera, Cabernet and Lacrima grapes.

The whites represent the pride and commitment of the company in organic production. They are produced from the Passerina and Pecorino grapes, from which a line of refined wines comes to life, excellence typical of the territory. The Verdicchio grapes blend in perfect harmony with the Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon vines.

Another product of the Ciù Ciù company is rosé wine. Intense and extremely fruity, produced from vines such as Sangiovese and Montepulciano. Rosato is wine as well as organic and vegan. The Ciù Ciù selection ends with the white spume obtained with the Charmat method.

The rigorous biological cultivation

The Ciù Ciù company’s wine production is 100% organic, certified since 1996. Times when organic farming had not yet taken hold in Italy.

Ciù Ciù products are the expression of a quality natural wine-growing ecosystem with a unique and irreplaceable “terroir” (microclimate, soil and subsoil). If we talk about organic, we can not fail to mention the Ciù Ciù extra virgin olive oil. From the organically grown olives grown organically, you get an oil with a fruity herbaceous taste with light hints of berries, artichoke, almond and tomato.
