The famous and prestigious American magazine Forbes wrote in 2017 a list of the ten best European wines with a price below 20 dollars. Among the various names present we can also find the Bacchus Rosso Piceno D.O.P. of the Marche winery Ciù Ciù!

The wine

The special red wine is produced in the cellar founded in 1970 and now managed by the brothers Massimiliano and Walter Bartolomei. The Bacchus vintage 2015 has the boast of having been praised by the famous critic Nick Passmore. He chose this organic wine, talking about his excellent quality and describing its scents and organoleptic characteristics.

It is a red wine, firm and dry. The “Rosso Piceno Bacchus” of Ciù Ciù is a wine that receives the denomination Rosso Piceno DOC, vinified with Montepulciano, Sangiovese grapes. It is thanks to the fact that it has managed to achieve this prestigious title that the Ciù Ciù winery is able to produce about 100,000 bottles of “Rosso Piceno Bacchus” wine.

Thanks to the prestige of its products in recent years, the Ciù Ciù winery has gained growing credibility. The wines produced by them are able to express the tradition of the territory with a religious respect for the ecosystem. They have also noticed it abroad. It is for this reason that Rosso Piceno Bacchus has been included by the American magazine «Forbes» among the best ten European wines with a price below 20 dollars. Because in addition to being custodians of the traditions and to put on the wines the stamps of the organic can also produce wines like a lot. Thus, in the 150 hectares of vineyards of the winery, both the native grape varieties of Passerina and Pecorino, as well as national and international grapes such as Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Barbera, Merlot and Chardonnay.
