On 17 July in Cagliari there will be a press conference that will present the second edition of the Cagliari International Wine&Food Festival. An event organized by the APS Promo Eventi Association, which aims to promote the culture of Sardinian food and wine. The event is scheduled for July 20 and 21 in the heart of the city: in the beautiful setting of the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, already theater after its refurbishment of important events.

The event

The weekend of 20 and 21 July in Cagliari will be full of wine, good food, cinema and entertainment. The proposals will be vast and will also come from outside the country. In Corso Vittorio Emanuele II you can also go to the discovery of 62 cellars, over 200 labels, many of which are Sardinian. But not only that, there will also be the opportunity to meet producers from all over the world.

It will therefore be an unmissable appointment with the winegrowing excellences and gastronomic achievements. Tastings will be carried out through unprecedented sensory paths enriched by the presentation of the film “The Duel of Wine”, with Charlie Arturaola, guest of honor of the kermesse, and Gianfranco Vissani, well-known chef.

The program

This is a rich and varied program (defined as such by Mario Bonamici, president of Aps Promo Eventi).

It starts on Friday with a seminar that from noon will continue until 6 pm, reserved for operators in the sector. Every evening from 7 pm the space dedicated to tastings will open: up to midnight, anyone who wants will be able to taste the delicacies from many countries, from Spain to Georgia, from Lebanon to Argentina, from Chile to Uruguay. And of course, products from different Italian regions, including obviously the many excellences of Sardinia.

The following days will be dedicated to tourism and esotericism that will offer the opportunity to visit various, magnificent, glimpses of the area. All this will be enriched by other various interesting events that will boast the presence of renowned guests.
