Sauvignon Tiare, a golden wine

Tiare, Roberto Snidarcig’s Sauvignon, won the Golden Medal and the Special Trophy at the 5th edition of the World Sauvignon Competition in Bordeaux. This is the first ever recognition of this scale that is given to an Italian wine. This wine has distinguished itself for its elegance and character among the 751 competing wines.

Sauvignon Tiare Doc Collio

Type: White Wine – Doc Collio

Production area: Dolegna del Collio (Go)

Vine: 100% Sauvignon- Stumps of different ages, originating from different clones and adapted to the type of land.

Harvest: manual in the first and second ten days of September, depending on the position of each vineyard.

Serving temperature: 10- 11 ° C. Serve in a not very large glass with flared mouthpiece.

It is a wine that holds the comparison with time.

Pairings: delicious if paired with noble fish, shellfish, seafood. It goes very well also with risotto of first fruits and elaborate first courses. With a simple plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce, maybe confit, it’s a perfect wedding.

The countless awards

The latest company recognition dates back to this year. The Gambero Rosso 2018 wine guide awarded the 3 cups prize at the Sauvignon Tiare 2016. This award was awarded to the company in the previous three years: in 2017 3 glasses at the Sauvignon Tiare 2015, in 2016 3 glasses at the Sauvignon Tiare 2014 and 2015 3 glasses at the Sauvignon Tiare 2013.

Gilbert & Gaillard awarded 90+ to the Sauvignon Tiare 2015.

The Sauvignon Tiare 2013, was awarded the gold medal at the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon held in 2014. And the following year with the Sauvignon Tiare 2014.
