Founded in 1997, the Bastianich winery was born from a profound need of the Bastianich family to retrace their origins. Always in love with Friuli Venezia Giulia and the wines that this region is capable of offering, the desire to produce high-quality wines for export to the United States (where the family lives) and to the world has grown ever more.

The first vineyards were planted in Buttrio and Cividale del Friuli, areas known to the most for the great quality of their white wines. Today the winery owns 35 hectares of vines; all  located in the DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli area.
The vineyards between Buttrio and Premariacco area, based in the warmest and southern part of the DOC, allow the production of the Cru wines. The vineyards in Cividale del Friuli, the colder area influenced by the bora (local wind), allow the production of wines of greater aromatic intensity.

The Bastianich winery with its wines wants to carry on the history and culture of Friuli Venezia Giulia and, at the same time, stand out for the quality of their products.

An expert team follows all stages of production, from work in the vineyard to the winemaking and all the attention given in the various phases is visible in the glass. The flagship of the winery are for sure the bland. A wise assembly of wines is able to create the Vespa (both white and red) and Calabrone, wines known and appreciated at world wine level.
