THE WINE
The Marzemino Mezzacorona of the Castel Firmian winery is produced with 100% Marzemino grapes grown in Vallagarina, an area particularly suited for the cultivation of grapes in Trentino.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest of the grapes is strictly manual and only the selected ones are taken to the cellar for winemaking which begins with the maceration in contact with the skins which lasts 4-5 days. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature of 24°- 26°C. The wine then ages for a few months in steel. Bottling follows and the wine then rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Ruby red with violet reflections. The aroma is elegant with notes of ripe red fruit which alternate with hints of violet and light puffs of almond. Balanced and fresh on the palate; the tannins are delicate and soft. Persistence is also good.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It goes well with both white and red meat but also with medium-hard cheeses. Must try with mushrooms.
