THE WINE
The Chablis of the Colette Gros winery is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes that come from 19 different plots located around the city of Chablis. We are in Burgundy in a small winery located in the Chablis area which, together with the Côte de Beaune, is one of the two most suitable and well-known wine-growing areas for Chardonnay,
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual and only the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking. Winemaking takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature. The refinement on the fine lees also takes place in steel and lasts over 6 months with frequent bâtonnage.
THE TASTING
Deep straw yellow. The aroma is fruity with pleasant hints of white peach that alternate with citrus notes, to close with light floral scents of white flowers. Fresh and savory on the palate, harmonious and persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with fish but also with shellfish. Must try with grilled fish.
