THE WINE
The Cabernet Sauvignon of the Villa Vitas winery is produced with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery. We are located in Strassoldo, a small town in the municipality of Cervignano del Friuli in the province of Udine in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Villa Vitas is located in the heart of a centuries-old park in the territory of the DOC Friuli Aquileia; here the soil is of alluvial origin, therefore rich in clay and sand.
THE WINEMAKING
After the harvest, only the selected grapes are brought to the cellar. The winemaking takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Refinement also takes place in steel and after assembly and bottling, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Intense ruby red with a slight purplish hue. The aroma is intense with pleasant hints of red fruits that leave room for spicy notes, among which pepper prevails. Dry on the palate, full-bodied with tannins that are evident but smooth and soft. Good correspondence between aromas and flavor. Persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with red meats and game but also with hard cheeses. Must try with grilled meat.
