THE WINE
The Roero Arneis, Serra Lupini from the Angelo Negro winery is produced with 100% arnelis grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery that are located in Roero. We are in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont, in a land particularly suited to the cultivation of wine. We are at an altitude ranging arownd 280 and 320 meters above sea level; here the soil is calcareous and sandy.
The grape harvest, which is strictly manual, takes place in September. The selected grapes are placed in boxes of about 20 kg and taken to the cellar. The winemaking takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. Before fermentation, 20% of the grapes are subjected to the cryomaceration process for 8/10 hours. The wine then ages in steel on the lees for at least 4 months and after assembly and bottling, the bottles rest for few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
Intense straw yellow. The aroma is very fragrant with pleasant notes of yellow pulp fruit where peach predominates, which leave room for hints of acacia flowers to close with scents of tropical fruits. Soft on the palate; persistent, with a sapid and mineral finish, characteristic of the sandy soils of the Roero.
It goes well with white meats, soft cheeses and fish.
