THE WINE
The Malvasia Istriana from the winery Damijan Podversic is an elegant wine, easy to drink.
THE WINEMAKING
The grapes are harvested strictly manually and only when fully ripe. After the fermentation that takes place in contact with the grape skins, the wine rests in large oak barrels (20 to 30 hl) for 36 months and than refines in the bottle for an additional year before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
The outcome is an intense golden yellow wine with very pleasant aromas. Notes of ripe fruit and candied citrus are followed by spicy hits of aromatic herbs and green pepper that leave room for light scents of tomato leaf. Soft and fruity on the palate, very well balanced and persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Since this wine is not filtered, the sediments at the bottom of the bottle are intended to preserve and protect the wine.
It goes well with all fish dishes; try it with seafood risotto!

Damijan began his journey by taking care of the family vineyards where he could work closely with Josko Gravner; the person who taught him everything and that Danijan considers his mentor… go to the winery page
