THE WINE
The Pinot Grigio from the Ronco delle Betulle winery is produced with 100% Pinot Grigio grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery located in the Rosazzo area in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual, and once in the cellar, the grapes are de-stemmed, cooled and left to macerate at a controlled temperature for a short period; after a soft pressing, the wine ages for 5/6 months in steel. Bottling without filtration occurs between March and April following the harvest; then, the wine rests for another 5/6 months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Delicately coppery in colour due to short maceration. The aroma is elegant, with pleasant notes of yellow flowers that leave room for hints of plum to close with light puffs of dried fruit. Fresh and rich on the palate with a marked sapidity and an excellent correspondence between aromas and flavour. Persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Suitable as an aperitif, it goes well with fish, white meats, soups and vegetables.
