The Wine
The Merlot from the Vigna Lenuzza winery is produced with 100% Merlot grapes grown in the Prepotto area. The cellar is certified organic and the owners call themselves “bio in the soul”; The Lenuzza family firmly believes that “The earth does not belong only to us. It must be respected in order to be passed down from generation to generation”
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking. After the first fermentation in contact with the skins that lasts about 20 days, the must rests in large French oak barrels. Follows the assembly, bottling and a further refinement period in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Intense ruby with garnet reflections. The aroma is fruity, with pleasant notes of ripe plums alternating with hints of berries and raisins; it continues with scents of leather and tobacco. Full-bodied and soft on the palate with velvety tannins. Elegant and round with good persistence.
