The Wine
This RRRR which is Ribolla Gialla from the Vigna Lenuzza winery is one of the four wines part of the Indigenously line. This line has only autochthonous Prepotto vines in Friuli Venezia-Giulia, which grow in autochthonous terroirs, with minimal interventions and with biological agriculture. The cellar has chosen to macerate and mature these wines in “eggs” concrete tanks to enhance their expressions unique to the grape varieties.
The winery is certified organic and the owners call themselves “bio in the soul”; The Lenuzza family firmly believes that “The earth does not belong only to us. It must be respected in order to be passed down from generation to generation”
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking; the grapes macerate for twelve days in “eggs” concrete tanks. The wine then ages for twelve months in truncated cone-shaped concrete vats. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with golden reflections. The aroma is intense and elegant, with pleasant floral notes that intertwine with fruity scents where peach and exotic fruit such as mango prevail. Complex and refined on the palate, it is a harmonious and well-balanced wine with a long finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif, this wine goes well with shellfish and seafood. Try it with fried fish.
