The Wine

The Pinela of the Poljsak winery is produced with 100% Pinela grapes (a typical variety of this valley) selected from the best vineyards of Pinela owned by the winery. We are in Slovenia and, more precisely, in the Vipava Valley. Here, the sunny position of the vineyards and the excellent climate are the optimal conditions for the grapes to ripen.

THE WINEMAKING

After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. The wine ages in steel tanks and is bottled about a year after the harvest. This white wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.

THE TASTING

Slightly pale lemon yellow with green hues; the aroma is fruity with pleasant hints of pear that intertwine with notes of tropical fruits. Very fresh and mineral on the palate, nicely balanced with a long finish and a nice acid note.

FOOD PAIRINGS

It goes very well with soft cheeses, vegetable soup, white meats and fish. Try it with sea bass.
