THE BEER
The Pat At A Tap from the Old County Brewery is an Irish-inspired stout.
It is a dark, almost black beer with soft and compact foam. The aroma is complex, and the use of oat malt manages to refine and round off the toasted aromas typical of this type of beer. The taste of dark chocolate and liquorice is perceived on the palate, closing with coffee flavours.
This beer has an alcohol content of 5% vol.
Not having an exceptionally high alcohol content, it is ideal for all occasions.
THE BREWERY
The Antica Contea brewery was born in 2013 in Gorizia in Friuli Venezia Giulia. That year, two schoolmates, Andrea and Costantino, combined their two greatest passions, English-style craft beer and their territory.
Everything comes from a small workshop, little more than a garage, where the two friends seek originality and quality. It was indeed a challenge because all know Friuli Venezia Giulia as a land suited to the production of wine.
In 2016, the brewery moved to Piedimonte, in a new factory, with a new and larger production plant; here is also the taproom, an area dedicated to tasting, where you can find draft beer in a welcoming environment that reminds of an English pub.
The production has expanded and diversified in these ten years of activity, drawing inspiration from various Anglo-Saxon and Central European brewing traditions.
The beers of the Antica Contea brewery are ideal for those who prefer craft beer and want a quality product.
