The Wine
The organic Ribolla Gialla of the Bervini winery is produced with Ribolla Gialla grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery and located in Sequals in the province of Pordenone, in the heart of the DOC Grave del Friuli. All the vineyards don’t use herbicides, chemical fertilizers and synthetic insecticides but only products the community regulation allows. The winery believes organic farming is the right choice to protect the environment and human health. For them, it is essential to work as nature commands.
This Ribolla Gialla is part of the “Puro” (pure) line, a line of wines created with the selection of the best grapes grown organically for decades. This line fully represents the passion for quality which is the DNA of the Bervini winery.
THE WINEMAKING
After harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. After the soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation occurs in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 17°C. The wine then ages in steel on the lees for at least seven months, and after blending and bottling, it rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is delicate, with pleasant vegetal notes reminiscent of the undergrowth. Sapid and well-balanced on the palate, with a good correspondence between aromas and flavours. Persistence is also good.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Excellent with pasta and rice with vegetable sauces. It also goes well with white meat and with medium-hard cheeses.
