The Wine
The organic Sauvignon of the Bervini winery is produced with Sauvignon grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery and located in Sequals in the province of Pordenone, in the heart of the DOC Grave del Friuli. All the vineyards don’t use herbicides, chemical fertilizers and synthetic insecticides but only products the community regulation allows. The winery believes organic farming is the right choice to protect the environment and human health. For them, it is essential to work as nature commands.
This Sauvignon is part of the “Puro” (pure) line, a line of wines created with the selection of the best grapes grown organically for decades. This line fully represents the passion for quality which is the DNA of the Bervini winery.
THE WINEMAKING
After harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. The maceration of the grapes takes place at low temperatures in an oxygen-free environment for 18/20 hours. After soft pressing, the must ferments in steel vats at a controlled temperature of 17 °C. The wine then ages in steel on the lees and after blending and bottling, it rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is very aromatic, with pleasant notes of tropical fruits that leave room for hints of green pepper and tomato leaves. Elegant on the palate, a full-bodied wine, well structured and with a good correspondence between aromas and flavours.
