The Company
The Mongetto company was born in the early eighties, thanks to Grandmother Palmira’s recipe book. Thanks to that notebook, Roberto Santopietro and his wife Margherita began producing grape mustard, jams and fruit in syrup.
Roberto and Margherita’s first customers were their children and closest family members; then, thanks to word of mouth, local restaurants and grocers requested the products and then, thanks to the specialized press, distribution expanded throughout Italy.
In 1998, the business grew so much that Roberto and Margherita could no longer manage it alone; Roberto had the brilliant idea of proposing to some of his most trusted collaborators to found the cooperative Mongetto Soc. The dream is to have a group of united people working towards a single goal.
Today, the Mongetto cooperative has seven members and very high-quality products that maintain the quality and tradition of Grandmother Palmira’s recipes. Their products are known and appreciated by a broad audience.
