THE WINE
The Ribolla Gialla from the Alturis winery is produced with Ribolla Gialla grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery, which are between the plains and hills near Cividale del Friuli in Friuli Venezia Giulia. An indigenous Friulian wine that well represents the winery that produces it.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest of the grapes is strictly manual and takes place in September. Once in the cellar, the whole bunches get softly pressed, and the must obtained is left to decant statically. The wine then ages in steel tanks on the yeasts at a controlled temperature for a period that varies depending on the production year. After bottling, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is intense and elegant with pleasant fruity hints of peach, which alternate well with notes of acacia flowers. Soft and fresh on the palate, good correspondence between aromas and flavours, good taste and excellent persistence.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with fish, shellfish, vegetables and soft cheeses. Try it with a vegetable risotto.
