Triple Juniper Gin from Never Never Distillery
The Never Never Triple Juniper is so-called because it is used in three stages during the production process. The juniper berries are first macerated in Australian grain alcohol for 24 hours. This base is redistilled with fresher juniper plus eight traditional botanicals: coriander seed, angelica root, orris root, lemon peel, lime peel, liquorice root, cinnamon and Australian peppercorns. Finally, more juniper is added to the basket of botanicals to capture its fresh and floral character.
Tasting
Triple Juniper gin has a scent of pine needles that intertwine with hints of rosemary and lemon oil to close with fragrant puffs of pepper. It is pleasantly citrusy and intense on the palate; Juniper is prominent, supported by hints of woody spice. The finish is long and creamy.
This gin is perfect for your gin & tonics but is also worth trying with gin bellinis and negronis.
The distillery producing Triple Juniper Gin and other quality gins
Never Never Distilling Co. was founded by three friends with a shared passion: create Australia’s most exciting and innovative gin brand. George, Sean and Tim were building their careers separately between Australia and England when they met in Adelaide, they began their distilling journey with a 300-litre hybrid column and pot still they named Wendy.
The Founders
Tim is the only one of the three with any real experience in this field, as he comes from the Gilbey distilling family in Scotland; he has been tinkering with stills and fermenters since he was a child.
George comes from a finance background, but as an enthusiast, he travelled the world researching flavour production techniques and has attended various brewing and distilling courses.
Sean has a hospitality background; he is a professional bartender and a keen chef; he has also competed on Masterchef Australia. He is well-versed in the final part of the flavour production process and has the marketing and brand management know-how from his work as a national brand ambassador for Diageo.
The name Never Never is inspired by the vast expanse of the Australian outback that stretches beyond the horizon. Entering the Never Never is travelling into the unknown, leaving established careers for adventure, and taking a step into the unknown.
