The History

Founded in 1969 by Alfons Giovanett, the Castelfeder winery is a family-run company that has worked intensely and passionately for over fifty years to produce wines with great character. Three generations of Giovanetts have been able to carry forward and innovate the ideas of their founding father.

In the over 50 years of the company’s life, many things have changed; first of all, the estate has expanded and today has about 70 hectares of vineyards in various areas of Trentino Alto Adige. The wine list has also expanded, and the production processes modernized. Today, Castelfeder has also expanded its market and has world wine customers.

The Estate

The company has 70 hectares of vineyards; about 70% are white vines of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon; the remaining 30% of red grapes and Pinot Nero obviously reigns supreme.

The winery has created various lines for its wines; each line represents the exact area of origin, enhancing the qualities and uniqueness of this territory. We suggest you taste them all to appreciate their uniqueness.

The Moselle

Since 2011, the family has also been interested in the Moselle region in Germany, and here they grow Riesling in the Sorentberg estate.
