The wine from Tiare winery
The Pinot Noir from Tiare Winery is 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested from estate vineyards located in Dolegna del Collio, in the heart of Friulian Collio; this region is renowned for its unique soil composition, rich in stratified marl and sandstone, which imparts distinctive qualities to the wines.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is manual, and to ensure the integrity of the bunches, they are collected in crates. Upon arrival at the cellar, winemaking begins with a maceration period of approximately ten days, followed by a gentle pressing of the grapes. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature; 40% of the wine ages for at least six months in oak barrels and 60% in steel tanks. After blending and bottling, it rests for a few additional months before being released to the market.
Tasting the Malvasia from Tiare
The wine displays a light ruby-red colour. On the nose, it offers an elegant bouquet with floral notes that blend harmoniously with aromas of red fruits such as blueberry and raspberry. It is soft and well-structured on the palate, maintaining a good balance between the aromas and flavours, leading to a long and pleasantly persistent finish.
