The Pinot Grigio Wine from Valpanera Winery
The Pinot Grigio wine from Valpanera Winery comes from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes, growing in the company’s vineyards near Cortona di Fiumicello, where the Torre stream once flowed. The soils in this area are rich in limestone and primarily consist of silt, sand, and gravel.
This is a fresh and complex wine perfect for your fish-based menus.
THE WINEMAKING
The grape harvest is done manually in mid September. Once in the cellar, winemaking starts with a grape soft pressing. The must undergoes fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and the ageing process occurs exclusively in steel. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for several additional months in the cellar before being released to the market.
Tasting the wine by Valpanera
This Pinot Grigio has a straw yellow colour and an intense aroma, featuring pleasant floral notes of acacia flowers complemented by fruity hints, primarily of white peach, along with tropical fruit undertones. It is well-structured and balanced on the palate, with an excellent correspondence between aromas and flavours. The finish is long and pleasantly citrusy, inviting you to take another sip..
FOOD PAIRINGS
Pinot Grigio Valpanera pairs well with fish, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses, making it a perfect choice for any fish-based meal.
