Alberto

Alberto Rizzo, known to all as “Riz” is the young owner of this winery. Born in 1987,  in Alba in Piedmont, Alberto spent his entire childhood in his grandfather’s vineyards Duilio Fedele, producer of Moscato grapes. Duilio passes on his passion for wine to Alberto who decides to take this path. He started with a diploma from the Oenology school and then graduated in Viticulture and Oenology. At 25 he fulfilled his dream and became a winemaker.

To start, Alberto decides to gain experience and starts working in various wineries in the Langhe producing the famous Barolo.

The winery

A few years ago Alberto took the big step, picked up the baton from his grandfather, renovated the old stable, and transformed it into a cellar, and in 2021 he wine made his first vintage. The first production is 2500 bottles with two references. Two wines that combine experience with tradition.

SA’DUZET is a Dolcetto wine, typical of the area and SA’DFIU’ is a white wine produced with Moscato grapes but wine made dry. A small winery that produces quality wines typical of the Langhe area,

It is interesting to know that in the cellar, there are only small stainless steel containers; this allows Alberto to wine made separate batches coming from different areas of the vineyard;  and only the best batchies get picked for the final blending of the wine. Furthermore, during fermentation and refinement, the cellar windows are opened to exploit the natural temperatures and favor the production of a stable and clear wine.

Why taste Alberto Rizzo’s wine

It is a genuine wine, just like the owner who, was born and raised in the Langhe Hills and knows them very well!
