The Winery

Damilano Winery is one of the historic wineries of Barolo, with roots dating back to the early 1900s. Founded in 1890 by Giuseppe Borgogno, it has been passed down through generations, becoming one of the most respected and well-known names in the Piedmont wine scene. Today, the company is managed by the brothers Guido, Paolo, and Mario, the fourth generation of the Damilano family. The family has continued to develop and innovate the winery while maintaining a deep respect for tradition.

The Vineyards and Wines

Damilano owns a series of prestigious vineyards located in the finest areas of Barolo; among these, the Cannubi vineyards stand out as one of the most renowned regions for producing high-quality Barolo. The vineyards span approximately 53 hectares dedicated to varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Damilano’s production is broad and diversified, including various Barolo, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba, and other labels representing the region’s excellence.

The Philosophy in the Vineyard and in the Winery

Damilano’s philosophy is based on the balance between tradition and innovation. The focus is on sustainability and respect for the terroir, with agronomic practices aimed at preserving biodiversity and soil quality. In the winery, the Damilano family adopts modern techniques to enhance the authentic expression of the grape variety while still honouring traditional approaches.
