Di Gaspero winery
commitment, care and passion...
The Di Gaspero winery was born in Corno di Rosazzo in the last century, around the 50s; in 1957, the founder of the winery, Sergio, father of Andrea, the current owner, discovered Dolegnano, a small village near San Giovanni al Natisone in the province of Udine and fell in love with it so much that he decided to move his business here.
Initially, the company focused on animal breeding, while the vineyards were only a marginal activity. Subsequently, with his wife Franca’s support, Sergio decides to open a farmhouse where he could offer their animals fine meats and the wine they started producing.
The expansion of the winery
The winery’s expansion happened thanks to Sergio’s son, Andrea; always passionate about viticulture; he decided to study and graduate in oenology to develop and expand the production of wine.
Andrea’s choice immediately proved to be apt, also because the Di Gasparo winery is located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC area, an area that, thanks to the ideal climate due to the proximity of the sea and the protection offered by the Alps is practically perfect for grape growing.
The winery
Today Andrea, in collaboration with a quality team, is involved in all stages of production, from the cultivation of the vines to the harvest, to the winemaking, to the ageing, maintaining a constant level of care, quality and attention, which have always been present in the DNA of the Di Gaspero family.
If you happen to go and visit the Di Gaspero winery, you will most likely find the now grandfather Sergio still walking among the rows of his beloved vineyards.
The farmhouse is still open, be sure to stop and taste the delicacies offered by the kitchen!
