THE WINE
The first edition of 40 years, unique and limited, was created in 2017 (brut Riserva 2011 vintage) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Rotari winery.
It is produced with the best Chardonnay grapes selected in the estate’s vineyards, located in the hills north of Trento. Here the climatic conditions are unique thanks to the limestone soil of Dolomite origin, the average altitude of about 400 above sea level, and excellent exposure to the sun. The vineyards are caressed by a refreshing alpine breeze that allows the natural preservation of the crunchiness and aromatic intensity of the grapes.
For this important anniversary, a liqueur d’expédition made with the ancient recipe of the winery was used.

THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual, and only the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking. Once the classic white winemaking ends, the cuvée is bottled with carefully selected yeasts for the second fermentation. The wine ages in the bottle on the lees for at least 36 months.
THE TASTING
Golden with a fine and persistent perlage. The aroma is exquisite, with pleasant hints of citrus that intertwine with notes of nectarine and apricot, leaving room for hints of vanilla and puffs of hazelnut. Very velvety on the palate with. a perfect match between aromas and flavour. Savoury with a long and persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif. It can be drunk throughout the meal, primarily if the menu is fish and shellfish based.
