The Atrum Rosso Wine from Valpanera Winery
The Atrum Rosso wine from the Valpanera winery is a blend of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes cultivated in the estate vineyards located in Scodovacca and Villa Vicentina where the soil is rich in clay.
This red wine envelops the senses with its harmonious blend of red fruit and vanilla notes, creating a pleasant experience.
THE WINEMAKING
The grape harvest is manual and occurs in the second half of September. Once in the cellar, winemaking begins with skin maceration followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes refinement in steel tanks. After assembling and bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for few months before being released to the market.
Tasting the wine by Valpanera
This wine is a vibrant ruby red with purple reflections. Its elegant aroma features delightful hints of red fruits, particularly raspberry, which mingle with herbaceous notes and hints of violet, further complemented by toasted sensations of coffee and subtle vanilla undertones. The wine is full-bodied, enveloping, and soft on the palate, with delicate tannins harmonising beautifully with a savoury note. The finish is long and persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Alma Rosso Riserva is ideal with red meat and game and with mature cheeses.
