THE PRODUCT

The Barbados 8 y.o is richer and more fruity than the Rum Nation previous Barbados rums. It is a velvety and mellow rum, perfect for the after dinner,  to accompany a good cigar. Light-medium bodied, it has an intense aromatic impact without being overly sweet.

The Nation project is an idea of the winemaker Fabio Rossi, who loves to select different Caribbean Rum barrels and then personally takes care of both the refinement and the bottling.

Gold colored. It has an intense aroma of  honey, with a pleasant floral note and hint of ripe fruit. Blood oranges, apricots and peaches leave room for a vinous puff. Delicate but very fruity on the palate. The ripe oranges, peaches and apricots already found on the nose are followed by bananas, dates, raisins and the unmistakable note of sugar cane.

As for the aftertaste, the Barbados 8 y.o becomes moderately more spicy, with the taste of sugar cane increasingly noticeable. You can find also the candied orange peel.

To be tasted with dark chocolate. We suggest the 70% Extra Dark Chocolate.
