The wine Barbera d’Alba Lablù of the Damilano winery
The Barberra d’Alba Lablù of the Damilano winery is produced with 100% Barbera grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery and located in the historic areas of the Langhe and Monferrato.
The Winemaking
After harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for the winemaking which takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 15 days. The wine then rests for a few months in wooden barrels and after bottling, a few more months in the cellar.
Tasting the Barbera d’Alba
Intense red with purple reflections. The aroma is elegant; pleasant hints of red fruit such as blackberry and cherry are followed by spicy notes that recall cinnamon, vanilla and green pepper. Full bodied on the palate, it is an important wine with a pleasant freshness. The persistence is also excellent.
Food Paring
It goes well with red meat, cold cuts and pasta dishes with meat sauces.
