THE WINE
The Barbera d’Asti Superiore of the historic Bussi winery in the Calosso area in the province of Asti, has the great advantage of been produced in a wonderful land for wines such as Piedmont which also produces Moscato, Dolcetto, Barbera del Monferrato and Piedmont Bonarda. The splendid hills between the Langhe and Monferrato are in fact the heart of the Unesco heritage area and it is in this location you can find the majority of the vineyards . The Bussi company begins to make wine only after the Second World War.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual. The must obtained after hand pressing is clarified and filtered. The racked wine is left to age for 18 months in large French oak barrels, follows bottling and an additional period of rest in the celler.
THE TASTING
Ruby red with garnet reflections. The aroma is intense ethereal. Dry, harmonious, pleasant and full-bodied on the palate with a beautiful persistence.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It goes very well with rice and baked pasta; with red or roasted meats, interesting with the typical cheeses from Piedmont. But the best variant is certainly the truffle
