The Wine
The Athesis vintage brut rosé sparkling wine from the Kettmeir winery comes from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown on the medium-high hills of Oltreadige and Bassa Atesina between 450 – 700 meters above sea level. Here, the soils are of calcareous origin and rich in clay. This is a refined and elegant rosé, perfect for all occasions.
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest of the grapes, which takes place in the second half of September, the two vines are wine-made separately. Pinot Noir briefly macerates on the skins; both grapes are softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15°-16°C. The wine then ages in stainless steel until the spring following the harvest. The wine is then bottled for the second fermentation and rests on the yeasts for at least 24 months before proceeding with the dégorgement
THE TASTING
Pale pink with brilliant nuances, the perlage is very fine and persistent. The aroma is elegant, with pleasant floral scents that alternate with fruity fragrances where raspberries and berries prevail, continuing with excellent hints of sweet spices and aromatic herbs. Fresh and creamy on the palate, with a perfect match between aromas and aromas. The finish is pleasantly long and persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect for the classic aperitif, ideal throughout the meal if the menu is fish-based. Try it with salmon prawns but also with spicy oriental dishes.
