The Wine
The Cabernet of the Vigna Lenuzza winery is produced with 100% Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the Prepotto area. The winery is certified organic and the owners call themselves “bio in the soul”; The Lenuzza family firmly believes that “The earth does not belong only to us. It must be respected in order to be passed down from generation to generation”
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvesting, the must is left to macerate and ferment in steel tanks in contact with the skins for a period that varies according to the vintage. Fermentation takes place in steel. The wine is then moved by fall into the underground barrel room and here it ages in barrels of various kinds for 12 months. Follows the assembly and bottling.
THE TASTING
Intense ruby red. The aroma is elegant with hints of red fruits like black cherries, blackberries and black currants, which alternate with herbaceous notes, typical of this grape variety. Wide and pleasant on the palate. Perfect correspondence between perfumes and taste. The finish is long and persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It goes well with red meat, game and hard cheeses.
