The Pink Moscato by Vigneti Pittaro
Moscato Rosa by Pittaro is crafted from pure Moscato grapes grown in the company’s vineyards within the DOC Grave del Friuli region. This flat area near the Tagliamento River features alluvial soil rich in stones and gravel, making it particularly suitable for viticulture despite being poor in nutrients.
THE WINEMAKING
The manual harvest occurs at the end of September when the grapes are overripe. Once harvested, the winemaking process begins with twelve hours of cold maceration after pressing, followed by fermentation in stainless steel. The refinement also takes place in steel, and in the spring after the harvest, the wine is blended and bottled. The bottles are sealed using the Vino-Lok® system, which features a glass stopper that maintains quality and is environmentally friendly.
Tasting the Pink Moscato by Pittaro
This wine showcases a bright pink colour and offers a pleasant fruity aroma with hints of cherry and strawberry, complemented by notes of raspberry and blackberry. On the palate, it is harmonious, presenting an ideal balance of acidity and sweetness without being cloying. The relationship between the aromas and flavours is exceptional, with a long and persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
This Moscato Rosa pairs beautifully with tarts as well as dry pastries. It is especially delightful with Christmas desserts; we recommend trying it with panettone.

He started from scratch, planting the first vine shoots and utilizing the natural springs in the area to provide water…. Keep reading
