The Wine
The Chardonnay Frizzante of the Bervini winery is produced with Chardonnay grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery and located in Sequals in the province of Pordenone, in the heart of the DOC Grave del Friuli. All the vineyards don’t use herbicides, chemical fertilizers and synthetic insecticides but only products the community regulation allows. The winery believes organic farming is the right choice to protect the environment and human health. For them, it is essential to work as nature commands.
This Chardonnay is part of the Brio line, a line of sparkling wines that are fresh and inviting; the wines of this line come from vines rooted in the Friuli area, with a contemporary and youthful cut.
THE WINEMAKING
After harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. The grapes are destemmed and softly pressed; the fermentation occurs in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16/18°C. The wine is then transferred to an autoclave to make it sparkling (Martinotti method); here, it rests for at least 25 days at a constant temperature of 17°C.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish reflections; the perlage is light and delicate. The aroma is fresh with pleasant hints of fresh fruit where the golden apple prevails. Fruity and fresh on the palate with an excellent correspondence between aromas and flavours. Pleasantly lively.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with fish.
