The Malvasia Wine from Valpanera Winery
The Malvasia wine from Valpanera Winery comes from 100% Istrian Malvasia grapes, growing in the company’s vineyards near Cortona di Fiumicello, where the Torre stream once flowed. The soils in this area are rich in limestone and primarily consist of silt, sand, and gravel.
This wine is complex and has a velvety freshness, making it ideal for all occasions with family and friends.
THE WINEMAKING
The grape harvest is conducted manually and takes place in late September. The must undergoes fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and the ageing process occurs exclusively in steel. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for several additional months in the cellar before being released to the market.
Tasting the wine by Valpanera
The wine features a straw yellow colour and, has a pleasant aroma with citrus notes, particularly of cedar and lime, complemented by floral hints of acacia. It is fresh and mineral on the palate, with a well-structured body that aligns perfectly with its aromas. The finish is long and pleasantly salty.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Malvasia Valpanera is perfect as an aperitif and pairs well with fish-based dishes; it’s also excellent with cold cuts.
