The wine Chiaretto Granara by Tommasi winery
The Chiaretto of the Tommasi winery is a blend of Corvina for 60%, Rondinella for 30%, and Molinara for 10%, grown in the vineyards owned by the winery and called Tenuta Fossa Granara; the vineyard located in the Bardolino Classico area. The wine that takes its name from the vineyard is the traditional rosé version of Bardolino; we are talking about a delicate and fascinating wine that recalls the sweet sunsets of Lake Garda.
THE WINEMAKING
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. The bunches are left to macerate in contact with the skins for six hours. Fermentation occurs in steel tanks at a controlled temperature between fourteen and eighteen degrees centigrade. The wine ages for five months in steel. After assembly and bottling, the wine rests for a few more months in the cellar before being released onto the market.
Tasting the wine by Tommasi winery
Bright, light pink, the aroma is elegant with pleasant hints of wildflowers that give way to fruity notes of small red fruits to close with citrus hints. Fresh and delicate on the palate with a pleasant acidity note that encourages drinking and a good correspondence between the aromas and flavor. This rosé is a delicious wine with excellent persistence.
