The Wine
The Friulano from the Jacuss winery is produced with 100% Friulano grapes grown in vineyards owned by the winery that are located in Montina di Torreano in the heart of the eastern hills of Friuli.
THE WINEMAKING
After the strictly manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking and softly pressed. The fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 ° – 18 ° C. After decanting, the wine ages in steel tanks on the lees , and is assembled and bottled shortly before the new harvest takes place. The bottles rest for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is intense with hints of wildflowers, which are well intertwined with notes of fruit and citrus to close with the classic scent of bitter almond, typical of this grape variety. Wide and fresh on the palate with a perfect match between the aromas and the taste. Also the persistence is good.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with fish, soft cheeses, soups and cold cuts. Must try with pasta alla scoglio (seafood sauce)
