The Wine
The Friulano of the Bervini winery is produced with Friulano grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery and located in Sequals in the province of Pordenone, in the heart of the DOC Grave del Friuli. All the vineyards don’t use herbicides, chemical fertilizers and synthetic insecticides but only products the community regulation allows. The winery believes organic farming is the right choice to protect the environment and human health. For them, it is essential to work as nature commands.
This Friulano is part of the “55” line, representing the business’s beginning. The Bervini winery was founded in 1955, willing to focus on the local vines much appreciated by the local community and now available to a broader public.
THE WINEMAKING
After harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. The grapes are softly pressed; the fermentation occurs in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16/18°C. The wine then ages in steel, and after blending and bottling, it rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Pale straw yellow. The aroma is pleasantly aromatic with hints reminiscent of wildflowers, which intertwine well with fruit notes to close with the classic bitter almond scent typical of this vine. Broad and fresh on the palate; full-bodied with a good correspondence between aromas and flavour. Persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with white meats and cold cuts.
