THE WINE
The Friulano of the Castello di Spessa winery is the result of collaboration with the oenologist Enrico Paternoster, from Trentino Alto Adige. This collaboration combines freshness and refinement with structure and longevity to all the wines of the cellar. The vineyards are located in Cormons in the heart of the Friuli DOC region, not far from the border with Slovenia, where the soil is mainly composed of clay and sand with gravel.
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest that takes place in the first ten days of September, the wine making takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature followed by an aging period that lasts until the following March and takes place in steel tanks. After bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for at least two months before being put on the market
THE TASTING
Intense straw yellow. Hints of bitter almond laced with floral notes of rose and wisteria Soft and complex on the palate; it closes with a fresh and tasty note.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It goes well with white meat and medium hard cheeses. Must try with the San Daniele DOP ham.
