THE WINE
The Friulano of the Villa Vitas winery is produced with 100% Friulano grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery. We are located in Strassoldo, a small town in the municipality of Cervignano del Friuli in the province of Udine in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Villa Vitas is located in the heart of a centuries-old park in the territory of the DOC Friuli Aquileia; here the soil is of alluvial origin, therefore rich in clay and sand.
THE WINEMAKING
After the harvest, only the selected grapes are brought to the cellar. The winemaking takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Refinement also takes place in steel and after assembly and bottling, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow; the aroma is delicate and intense with pleasant fruity hints of apple that intertwine with notes of hay to close with the characteristic note of bitter almond. Quite soft on the palate with a nice acidity and an elegant sapidity. Persistent with the typical bitter finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with white meats, fish, and medium-hard cheeses. Try it with cold cuts.
