THE PRODUCT

Etna is a gin, produced by a small distillery in Catania (Sicily) that specializes in Sicilian spirits and liqueurs. The company called Amacardo wanted to create a unique gin of its kind, using only local products; in particular,  the wild thistle, also known as cacucciuleddu spinusu catanis or artichoke from Etna, became the center of their project. The distillery named itself after this wild plant!

Sunny and Mediterranean, this gin is made with selected botanical herbs harvested on the slopes of Etna. In addition to the classic balsamic aroma of juniper, the gin is enriched with medicinal herbs and wild herbs; among these stands out the wild thistle which gives the gin an intense nuance with pleasant notes of artichoke.

See-through and crystalline, the aroma is delicate and fresh, with notes of freshly picked Sicilian citrus fruits, which leave room for the freshness of the wild fennel; the herbs of the Mediterranean scrub, the Etna artichoke and the juniper. Soft, fresh and intense on the palate with a slightly spicy finish. A gin with character that those who love Italian gins must absolutely taste!
