THE WINE
The Gran Cuvée Alma pas dosé from the Bellavista winery is a blend of 80% Chardonnay grapes and the remaining 20% Pinot Noir, grown in the historic vineyards owned by the winery. These vineyards have an average age of 25 years, We are in the heart of the Franciacorta DOCG.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September and only the selected grapes are brought to the winery for winemaking which takes place 65% in steel and 35% in small white oak barrels. The cuvée is a selection of different reserve wines of different vintages and once the perfect balance has been reached, it is bottled on the yeasts and left to refine for at least 30 months.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with a fine and persistent perlage; the aroma is intense and elegant with pleasant notes of white flowers that alternate with hints of bread crust, puffs of butter, and scents of citrus. Fresh and pleasantly savory on the palate with a perfect correspondence between aromas and flavor. Long and persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with fish-based lunches and dinners, it also goes well with fresh cheeses. Try it with fried fish.
