Colombo no. 7 gin from Rockland Distilleries
Colombo No. 7 gin from Rockland Distilleries fully represents the London Dry style but with an exotic touch. This gin, produced with classic botanicals (juniper, coriander, liquorice and angelica), has a spicy twist given by cinnamon, curry and ginger; it has an almost unique taste. It is produced in small batches and distilled in a copper still.
The distillery has dedicated this gin to Sri Lanka and its scents.
Tasting
Colombo No. 7 gin has a pleasantly spicy scent with delicate notes of coriander and liquorice. On the palate, it is pleasant with juniper berries that alternate with cinnamon and curry leaves flavours and a warm and surprising finish.
This gin is perfect for your gin & tonics but is best enjoyed neat, we recommend a glass with lots of ice.
The distillery producing this gin and other quality spirits
We are in Sri Lanka; the history of the Rockland Distillery began in 1924; the company has always remained family-run, keeping the tradition alive for over four generations. We have been told, the secret recipes are passed down from father to son, always maintaining the high quality. This distillery has a century of experience, and its spirits are renowned and known worldwide.
The master distiller
In addition to the knowledge acquired over time, the distillery holds traditions very dear, and one of the most unique and exclusive practices is the Master Distiller; using his invaluable expertise, the Master Distiller checks every batch and ensures that every bottle that leaves the distillery reflects the distillery.
