The Prosecco Joy Rosé from the Forchir Winery
Joy Rosé the prosecco by Forchir winery comes from 85% glera grapes and 15% Pinot Noir grown in the vineyards of the Forchir winery, located in the DOC Friuli area, which is well-suited for Friulian wine production.
The Gleara grape, historically widespread in all the provinces of north-eastern Italy, gives life to what has become the most famous Italian wine in the world, Prosecco! Pinot Noir makes its contribution without distorting the Glera grapes.
THE WINEMAKING
The Forchir winery conducts the grape harvest at night, allowing the grapes to arrive at the cellar during the coolest hours of the day. This practice ensures that the grapes can be processed at low temperatures, which is crucial for preserving their aromatic profile.
The harvest occurs when they are not yet perfectly ripe to obtain a sparkling base of great freshness. The selected grapes go to the cellar for winemaking which takes place separately. The Glera grapes get softly pressed; the free-run must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16°; the Pinot Noir grapes remain in contact with the skins for a few days only to extract a light colour and the delicate aromas typical of this variety. Both wines are refined in steel tanks for a short period before being moved to an autoclave for the second fermentation. The assembly takes place in the autoclave. The cellar uses the Long Charmat method; the sparkling wine remains in the autoclave for a long period to refine its aromatic component. The wine is then bottled using the isobaric method to avoid losing the pressure obtained in the autoclave.
Tasting the wine by Forchir
Bright pink with salmon reflections and lively, persistent bubbles. The aroma presents pleasant floral notes of jasmine, elderberry, and rose buds, complemented by fruity hints of pear and pomegranate juice. It is fresh and pleasantly savoury on the palate, with a delightful mineral quality. There is an excellent harmony between the aromas and the flavours.
