The wine Lugana Le Fornaci by Tommasi winery
The Lugana from the Tommasi winery is 100% Turbina grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery. They are located in the historic area of Lugana, from which it also takes its name, on the southern shore of Lake Garda. It is an intense and harmonious wine that combines structure and elegance.
THE WINEMAKING
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. Fermentation, in this case, is a slow operation at a controlled temperature that varies between fourteen and eighteen degrees centigrade, followed by racking by natural sedimentation. The wine then ages for a few months on lees and fine yeasts in steel. After blending and bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for a few more months before being placed on the market.
Tasting the wine by Tommasi winery
Intense straw yellow with brilliant reflections; the aroma is pleasantly fruity and fragrant with notes of tropical fruit that alternate with hints of grapefruit. Dry and harmonious on the palate, it has an elegant freshness. The flavour is also excellent, with an intense and persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with fish and soft cheeses. Try it with seafood risotto.
