THE WINE
The Malbec Classic of the Alta Vista winery is produced with 100% Malbac grapes grown south of Mendoza, in the heart of Chacras de Coria in Argentina. The winery covers over 200 hectares and is divided into five farms, all at an altitude exceeding 1000 meters. Each grape variety is grown in the most suitable place and thus manages to express itself to the best of its possibilities.
THE WINEMAKING
After the harvest, only the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks. The aging lasts about 12 months and for half of the wine takes place in used American oak barrels. After assembly and bottling. The wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Ruby red with violet reflections. The aroma is fruity with notes of berries, strawberries and plums that leave room for pleasant hints of coffee and vanilla. Round and full-bodied on the palate, with a good correspondence between aromas and flavor and a good minerality. The tannins are present but well polished. Persistence is also good.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It goes well with meat and medium-hard cheeses. Must try with pizza.
