The Wine Morus Alba from Vignai da Duline winery
The Morus Alba from Vignai da Duline is a unique wine created from a blend of 60% Malvasia Istriana and 40% Sauvignon Friulano. The grapes come from vines aged between 30 and 70 years, ensuring unmatched quality and complexity of flavour.
With a limited production of only 3,000 bottles per year, this wine is like an orchestra of aromas that delights the palate, truly a pleasure for the senses. Morus Alba does not fear the passage of time; we recommend buying a couple of bottles and forgetting them in your cellar.
THE WINEMAKING
The grapes are hand-harvested, and the winemaking process takes place without sulfur dioxide; after a pre-fermentation maceration, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, elements that contribute to giving character to the final product. The wine remains on its lees until blending and then undergoes ageing in stainless steel for 7 months, which imparts a solid structure and distinctive flavour.
Tasting the wine Morus Alba
Bright straw yellow, the aroma is intense, with fruity notes of apricot intertwined with candied lemon peel scents and saffron. It is broad and enveloping on the palate with a pleasant mineral note; the finish is long, intense, and pleasantly salty. This Morus Alba is a great wine.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It pairs well with fish, including raw preparations, vegetables, and medium-aged cheeses. It is also excellent with shrimp and zucchini risotto.
