The wine from Tiare winery
The Ribolla Gialla produced by Tiare Winery is 100% Ribolla Gialla grapes, which grow in the vineyards owned by the winery, located in Dolegna del Collio, in the heart of the DOC Collio region; this area is renowned for its soil, rich in stratified marl and sandstone, which imparts unique qualities to the wines.
THE WINEMAKING
Harvesting is manual and occurs in the last ten days of September. Once the grapes are in the cellar, the winemaking process begins with a brief maceration, followed by a gentle pressing. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, using only selected yeasts. The wine ages in stainless steel tanks. At the end of March, the wine is blended, bottled, and allowed to rest for a few additional months in the cellar before being released to the market.
Tasting the Malvasia from Tiare
The wine displays an intense straw-yellow colour. Its aroma is elegant and delicate, featuring fruity notes harmonising with subtle mineral hints. It is fresh and dry on the palate with a perfectly balanced savoury note. It offers great drinkability and a long, persistent finish.
