THE WINE
The Marius Brut Nature champagne from the Yannick Prevoteau winery comes from a bland of wines: Pinot noir for 35%, Pinot Meunier for 35%, Chardonnay from Vitryat and the Marne Valley for 30%. It is essential to know that 40% of the wines used are reserves.
We are located in Damery, in the Marne Valley department, in the heart of the Champagne region. The work on the ground and in the vineyard, combined with a production process that fully respects the environment, has allowed the winery to obtain HVE level 3 (High Environmental Value Vineyard) and VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) certifications.
THE WINEMAKING
The grapes are always harvested and wine-made separately in steel; the winemaking takes place without malolactic fermentation and, in this case, being a brut nature, without the addition of sugars. Once formed, the Cuvee is bottled and left to rest on the lees for at least 30 months.
THE TASTING
Light golden yellow with a fine, creamy and persistent perlage. The aroma is delicate and fragrant with pleasant citrus notes where lime prevails, which intersect well with hints of white fruits such as apple and pear to continue with nuances of bread crusts; it closes with a slight iodized nod. The first sip will make your taste buds dance thanks to the fruity notes and minerality that emerge. This is a Champagne that enhances the terroir. Very long and persistent in the finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes very well with shellfish. Also ideal as an end of a meal.
